Day six: 2nd April. Something to aspire to.Is there a pattern or skill that you don’t yet feel ready to tackle but which you hope to (or think you can only dream of) tackling in the future, near or distant? Is there a skill or project that makes your mind boggle at the sheer time, dedication and mastery of the craft? Maybe the skill or pattern is one that you don’t even personally want to make but can stand back and admire those that do. Maybe it is something you think you will never be bothered to actually make bu can admire the result of those that have.
Yep. There is one yet unaccomplished goal in knitting and that is to knit a SEAMLESS sweater. I have heard tell of these magically sweaters that don't require sewing up the seams - and I want to make one. I have just finished scouring Ravelry and come up with some projects that are now added to my queue....

I love the yoke on that green one! And learning a new skill on a small project is a great idea. I can't wait to see you finish it up!

ReplyDeleteOOOOOOH!!!! You will love seamless knitting once you try it!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGet Wendy Bernard's book from the library or (troll Amazon used books for a good deal). She makes it less mysterious! I love knowing that as I go the only finishing before blocking is to weave in my ends. (I have even begun to do this as I make them.) There is such a cute kids sweater [http://nevernotknitting.blogspot.com/2010/05/new-and-improved-playful-stripes.html] on my favorite blogger's page- Nevernotknitting.com
Did you love this blogging week? I did, though I was late to post and I am unsure if my linky things are gonna work.
Happy seamless knitting to you!
