7 Months

This little girl is definitely her daddy's buddy.  She likes him too - when he walks in she just lights up and usually gives a giggle or two.  She smiles ear to ear when he pays attention to her.  She is starting to show her daddy's traits as well - she's got dark brown hair, brown eyes - so far no dimples though.

At 7 months Hannah weighed in at 15 pounds.
Still wearing 3-6 month clothes.
Starting to roll front to back - sometimes she surprises herself and rolls back to front.
She is sitting up by herself with no problem.
Loves to turn pages, eat paper, read books.  She loves singing along with music at church too.

6 Months

 Hannah at 6 months:
Weight: 13 lbs 9 oz
Length 24 inches
Likes to make lots of grunting noises.  Starting to be more and more smiley.  She cries now when we take away her toys - which Bry likes to test out.

Occasionally she is very quiet and will occupy herself for hours on end.  The rest of the time.... this is one noisy little girl.
She loves playing with her toes and socks - best toys ever!

Too Long

I know - this post is woefully late.  I didn't even keep up with my 1 post per month.  Oops.

Here is our Holiday Baking day.  Hannah was more into tasting the utensils - and since most of it had raw eggs in it she couldn't have any real tastes anyways.  She did enjoy getting to help out in the kitchen though, I think.

 Love her "surprised" face!

We will work on timing the posts for 2013.

Hope you had a wonderful holiday and a good start to the new year!

Oops

Oops.
It's been a while since the last post.
I won't blame it on the baby.
It's work's fault.
Here are some pictures of cuteness to get you off my back.
The crafting has been scant.  I won't blame it on the baby. I finally got some knitting done today.  Hopefully more knitting this week.  I'm working on a sweater for Hannah and finishing up some W.I.P.s (works in progress).

Our bathing suit and sunglasses!  First time at the pool.

Despite the facial expressions, we L.O.V.E. the water!

4 months.  That sticker did not survive longer than 5 minutes after this photo was taken.

This week we are heading to Michigan to celebrate Abby and Mike's Wedding on Saturday.  This will be Hannah's 3rd trip to Michigan in 5 months.  In fact, we'll turn 5 months this Thursday!  Where has the time gone? I won't blame it on the baby.

This week we will also likely be deciding where I will be taking a job.  More on that once an actual decision has been made.

3 Months

Hannah turned 3 months old - holy cow!

We have been enjoying her smiles lately - although we have to work for them quite a bit!  She is definitely becoming more social now.  She still loves being held and cuddling - perfect for most people who meet her.  In addition she is quite active now and loves to kick, play with toys and try to stand.  Her head swivels around at every sight and sound and she really tries to be involved with conversations.

She remains quite laid back and easy-going.  Except when she's really hungry and then we all hear about it.  Strange how weird it is to hear her cry when she barely cried for the first 8 weeks of her life!  She is enjoying going to daycare and I'm told she does pretty well when she's away from home.

Back To Work

Maternity leave is officially over.

I think we're all sad about this.  It means that Hannah is getting older - we've lost our little 3 lb wonder and struggle to carry around a 9 lb behemoth.  She has also been much more alert and awake - looking at toys, occasionally smiling, grabbing things put near her and paying attention when we read her stories.  This part is fun.  The crabby-after-8-pm part is not as fun, but this is followed by the sleeping-for-up-to-5-hours part which Abi thinks is fun.

It also means that Abi is back to work.  Funny how you forget so much when all you know is bottles, diapers, pumping and nursing! The first few days were a little rough.  This month I'm at a new hospital so not only do I have to re-learn everything but I have a new computer system, new people, new nurses.....it's been an adjustment.  As usual I'm settling in now, about 1/2 way through the month.  This week is my longest work week yet but I've got a light at the end of the tunnel with a fun 3 day weekend coming up.
